The best disciplinary rule for the moment we have found for our 3 year old is time outs, which he has realized he can impose on his parents when he deems them naughty....here is Dad in his timeout, doing his best impression of Brody in a timeout ( a little confusing, I know, but hilarious at the time)

Snow daze

Finally the temps rose above 30 today, so it seemed safe to play in the snow for a bit. Our new puppy is not very fond of the cold...her coat is still a little thin, so she kept trying to cuddle with Logan in the sled - very sweet.

Brody turns 3

We celebrated Brody's birthday last Saturday with a "Wight Keen" (lightning mcqueen in toddler-ese) birthday cake and ice cream with friends and family. Brody was so thrilled to see his friend Sarah, who he hadn't visited with since fall...he continues to ask about her each day since the party...guess mom and bubba are getting to be pretty boring.

One of Brody's birthday gifts was a cowboy outfit...he loves to wear the hat and say, "Yee-haw Cowboy!" ...not sure where he heard it, but it is darn cute.

New puppy

We brought"baby puppy" home Monday night, and she is so very sweet - loves to cuddle, jump around with the boys, sneak off their toys into her crate. No name yet, but we're working on it. She's a little collie pup, so hopefully she will grow a little larger than our sheltie.

New arrival

We are thrilled to welcome our new pup next week into our home. We terrorized all the puppies while visiting the breeder last week (hopefully she wasn't too horrified), and exhausted the whole litter. Ours is the little collie on the far left.

Logan's Big Birthday

We were nearly snowed out for Logan's first birthday party, but friends and family braved the storm to celebrate.

And of course there was cake

and gifts (the ball was a real hit....cheapest gift, most eneterainment).

Logan has been walking pretty steadily for about a month, but those early steps are on our camcorder - which is still techno-challenging for me to download.
