Weekend wonders

Today was Maple Sugar Sunday in Maine - when many maple sugar houses, like this one, open their doors for visitors to view the process of making maple syrup, and perhaps sample their wares over yummy ice cream, as my boys did amidst 30 degree temps.

Logan helped Daddy put together some  new patio furniture - he was quite helpful
The boys enjoying the fruits of their labor
Brody and Daddy planted more veggies this weekend in our small indoor  nursery...can't wait for summer!

Logan has been enamored of the Cars movie characters.  When I went to peek in during a nap, this is what I found... bet you never knew  Rescue Squad Mater  could be so tender...

So Strong

In an effort toencourage Brody to eat more at meals,
we have told him that good food helps him grow to be strong.  In a nutshell, peas = Superman.
So this morning, he positioned Buzz to show his strength,
and then Brody wanted to also model his own superpowers.

Erin Go Bragh

We had a festive breakfast of "clover" pancakes
And we wore our Green shirts from Grandmommy
so that this leprechaun wouldn't pinch us.
Wishing everyone a Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

Come Spring!

Here is Brody in his new "big boy" swing.   He's been swinging in one all year at school, so I figured it was time to relent in the overprotective department and move on up.
Spring is finally sneaking into our days, in spite of freezing nighttime temps. Yesterday we enjoyed the sunshine after a stormy weekend.

New milestone

Notice anything different about  Brody's bed???
That's right - the guard rails are gone!  It's so hard to believe that this miracle preemie is now such a big boy sleeping in a big bed.

Tuckered out

Logan is one of those tykes who really konks out when he is tired.  I mean is impossible to rouse when he wants to sleep.  Yesterday I picked him up out of the car and set him down so I could wrangle bags, and he promptly fell back asleep standing at our bench.

Loverly

After a 24-hour stomach flu bug afflicted all 3 of my boys, I was rewarded with this beautiful bouquet, with a card stating "Thank you for taking care of us."   Love my men.

March madness

These many days of gloomy weather are not helping our cabin fever.  To help expend engery, we have kept the trikes in the house.  Brody began pedaling the day we first rode his trike, but Logan has had to push it around for the most part...until today!
