Park Play

We began our Sunday with a vist with Grammy Dot.  The boys especially love the fish tank nearby.

Then, as a reward for enduring a trip to Kohl's, we had a picnic at a lovely little park in Augusta.
Brody was very proud of climbing this spiral ladder.

A great time had by all.

Owls Head Kites and Trikes weekend

The boys and I enjoyed a beautiful Saturday at the Owl's Head Transportation Museum.  There was a wondrous area gated off and full of all kinds of pedals cars - it entertained us for hours.  We also saw several biplanes in the skies, and an array of fancy kites.  And Brody and Logan participated in their first "bike parade", essentially a swerving little line of parents herding their tricycling tots around.  Brody was insistent that he and Logan wear the right gear, and was really dismayed when halfway through the parade he realized he wasn't wearing any "elbow gloves".

this plane was by far their favorite

Brody's first experience riding his trike on tar - we live on a dirt driveway.  I think if he went any faster he may have flown with the planes.
We also met and had books signed by local author Chris Van Dusen (http://www.chrisvandusen.com/ )- we all love his books, and recommend them for all ages.  And he is super friendly to boot.  Thanks to all families who assisted/endured my child-wrangling antics.

20 pearly whites

Brave Brody endured his first dentists visit beautifully.  His teeth are now all "sparkly", according to him.  I was so proud of how still he sat during the entire visit, even giggling as the hygenist picked away.

Garden Prep

We are trying to change our evening routine, moving away from too much TV time, and taking advantage of warmer evenings and more daylight.  Last night Duane took the boys with him to help dig in the garden.  Just some worm finding adventures, really, but D needed to move around some dirt  in preparation for our seedlings, and the boys really needed some fresh air.

(hence the need for less TV time)

Potty pals

Logan has decided he is ready to potty train.  And does so with great encouragement from his big brother.

Easter 2010

We hope everyone had a wondrous Easter - we certainly did.  This was the first Easter that both boys could grasp the idea of the whole egg hunt.  And boy did they grasp it.  Logan prompty dropped to the ground with his bounty and began shovelling the candy as quickly as possible.  I  have about 15 pictures of this particular pose.

We began our festivitesat a local farmer's market/deli, where a little Egg Hunt was planned.
Our grand find - one beautifully decorated egg.  I'm afraid there were only about a dozen eggs, and 50 egg-seekers.  Brody was the lucky one.
After the hunt, we drove to the airport to pick up  Grandmommy and Gigi. We were so blessed to have family here to celebrate Easter with us.

The Easter Bunny left little chalk eggs to decorate our table.
Gigi and Daddy assisting in the hunt.  Can you see the baby bump?  This is probably the last
smaller family Easter, because a much anticipated baby is due in early October for Gigi and Uncle Rob!!!
