Sunday stories and a lobster feed

We enjoyed a leisurely morning, with the boys curled up "reading" while we prepared breakfast.
Yummmmmm.  Dinner. At $5.79 a pound, hard to resist "wobsta".
One crusty crustacean.

Sears photo

So this was from our worst photo session yet at Sears.  Not lots of options for affordable professional shots around, but usually we luck out with better moods during our sessions.  Not so lucky this time.

Midsummer May and catching up

Please pardon the multiple posts.  The weather has been so glorious, we have taken every opportunity to remain outdoors, included neglecting our blog.
The boys really enjoyed thesprinkler on our 90 degree days.

And enjoyed some moments of brotherly love.

snap, crackle pop!

Our chickens have been on egg strike lately, so I broke out the Rice Krispies for the first time.  I explained how this cereal makes sounds when you add milk, to which Brody explained to Dad , "this cereal talks!".

Goin' fishin'

Daddy and Brody had a little fishing date last weekend.  Excitement was an understandment for Brody.  He just couldn't decided what to wear, and eventually chose his cowboy hat and fish shirt.
Just a little eager, you think?
Logan has taken to crawling into these extremely comfy chairs after his nap.  On this particular occasion, that chair was so cozy he decided to continue his nap for another 20 minutes...
so much sweetness

Park Play II

Brody and I headed to Portland for his eye doctor appointment.  We managed to sneak a little time at the park to play - a real gift for just the two of us.

Brody standing like a statue.

The super cool slide nestled among slabs of granite

Three little pigs

Our piglets have moved into their new home, waaaaaaaaaaaaay away from our house, unlike last year (stinky).  They seem to like their new digs.

Happy Mother's Day

To all moms, family and friends, I wish you a very happy mother's day.
My day has been lovely.  I was greeted with 2 early risers chanting "Happy Muddas Day, Mommy!"
And I was showered with hugs and kisses.  And if that wasn't enough (it really was), I received the beautiful mother's ring.

I am so spoiled.

We also went plant shopping for a few more trees and shrubs, which mainly involved Daddy shopping and Mommy and the boys feeding the carp in the greenhouse, safe from bitter gale winds.

And Brody helped me bake some sweets.  Brody has been my baking buddy since he could stand, and I always enjoy our little baking moments.

Sunday shots

We enjoyed a beautiful spring day Sunday, sporting the new haricuts and starting our day off right with apples.
We then attended a local car show - and guess who made an appearance???
And here is Dad on his harley - pleased as punch to have won the loud pipes contest for bikes and his own custom motorcycle class.
And the boys were able to take part in their own parade....Brody is beginning to think there is trike parade nearby each weekend.
Some  very proud pedalers.
