The costumes have arrived - villains beware - superheros are about!

Soccer!

Brody joined our pee-wee soccer league this fall.

I was hoping that the constant motion would suit his perpetual motion needs.  

 He was a little confused in that first practice.

 And pretty exhausted between kindergarten and soccer

 But his enthusiasm returned in the second practice

 Still a little confused

But willing to go with the flow.

Garden, garden, will it end?

With big bro off to school, Logan has been my garden sidekick.   We recently harvested the carrots.

Brody's first day of kindergarten

Last Wednesday, Brody entered his school career.  Somehow I can't help mourning the fact that my baby is no longer all mine - I've never been great at sharing. ( Like mother, like son).

Logan's first day

Logan has begun his highly-anticipated school year at Dickory Dock Nursery School in Union, Maine.

Brody attended this school, and Logan has been looking forward to this time for so very long.

Aaargh!

This weekend we decided to check out the happenings in Camden at the Windjammer Festival.  Typically, this is  an opportunity to celebrate all things nautical - and this year, we found pirates had invaded the harbor!

With Lord Weasely - a weasel of the first order.  He eventually turned coat to join the pirates!

 Aargh!

 We spotted the Jolly Roger flag in the distance, weaving through the harbor

 The redcoats attack!

 And the pirates surrender.

 The pirates come on shore.

 And attack the redcoats!

And then everyone joined to pirates to live in harmony happily ever after....

as harmonious as pirates can live, anyways.  

Argh!
