Logan

Logan has had a rough couple of weeks settling into sleep.  He seems to have a renewed fear of our "floating mommy", otherwise know as a Halloween decoration. This decoration has been packed away since Halloween, an,in fact, made a very brief appearance Halloween because of said fears.  Bubba is convinced the floating mommy lives in his closet.  In an effort to protect himself, he surrounds himself with superheroes.  Positioned next to the closet.

This seems to have affected his sleep schedule as well, shortening his naps and nighttime sleeps. After one such short nap, he came downstairs to be with me and continued to sleep in this position for over an hour.
and then this for another half hour

tired much?

Farewell friend

I can't believe the day has arrived to finally stash away "the bag" - the source of diapers, wipes, snacks, juice, toys, crayons, and many items of unknown origin.

Today I emptied out my belongings
And moved into my big girl purse

Tee Ball

We have plunged into the world of elementary sports.  In an effort for Brody to meet more of his future schoolmates, we joined our local t-ball team.  And we discovered the true meaning of t-ball. Rather, the "t" part. Which means "tackle" in our 5 year old's mind.

After much discussion (and a few tears of frustration), he understood that tackle has no place in t-ball.  And our first game commenced last Saturday.

Brody surprised us indeed - for the first inning, he watched the batter, and ran from base to base accordingly, doing a little victory dance after each run.

His favorite part is "batting".  The outfield, not so much.

In the dugout with teammates.

Happy Muddah's Day

I was greeted with two sleepy "Happy Muddah's Day" and one wet nose kiss(from our dog), as well as this beautiful bouquet.
Thanks to all my boys and Maggie.
I am honored to be your mother.

I also received this awesome pair of boots from the family for my birthday  - I've been drooling over bogs footwear for years now, and am happy to add them to my collection.
I would also like to share this amazing picture that our dear artists friends/second-in-command-parents-to-our-boys Jim and Tina gifted me as well...
Such a perfect caption of my girl, Maggie.
Check out more of Jim's talents here
Thanks to my mom and sis for their gifts as well...finally a big-girl purse, and a much-needed boost to my wardrobe.

Easter day

The easter bunny did indeed arrive.
The was as close as I could get to a photo - they were too excited to stay still.
 And the egg hunt ensured...

A picture on our last mound of snow. There still is rumor of patches deep in the woods.
